Religion
In India, religion is a way of life. India is a land of diverse religions that exist in harmony and peace. It is also the birthplace of two of the world’s major religious traditions; namely Hinduism and Buddhism. For the majority of Indians, religion infiltrates every aspect of life, from common-place daily chores to education and politics. Hinduism is infinitely more popular as an incredible 82 percent of the population practices it. Besides Hindus, Muslims are the most prominent religious group and are an integral part of Indian society. In fact, India has the second largest population of Muslims in the world after Indonesia.
